The heartbeat of a great horror film is to take elements of old school terror and elevate them with a refreshing angle which “The House of the Devil” so effectively used as much as the recent “The Void” brought back the dread of practical horror. “Besetment” more than channels the creepiness of fright flicks of yore as we are taken to a time when evil lurks in the menacing shadows of towns such as the one at Mitchell, Oregon. Stars Abby Wathen and Hannah Barefoot are set to re-ignite our passion for the femmes of indie cinema this weekend which means this delectable duo are up for admiration.
Just notified that Abby Martin has won Best Actress and BESETMENT has won 3rd place in the 2017 Horror Hotel International Film Festival in Cleveland, Ohio. If anyone is interested in attending the screening it is June 15th at 7:10. More info can be found on their web site.
Back in the Box Fest works to shatter the boundaries placed not only between genres but also between undiscovered talents and eager audiences. We are looking for the Best of the Best in the field of entertainment. And we are hoping you are prepared the meet the competition head on.

Thank you Greg James for your hard work. Now it’s off to Graham Denman for score. Sound, color and titling and it will be ready for the world. I know everyone is anxious for it’s release and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I’m super happy with every frame of it.
Thanks to Daniel Ecoff. Such a pro.
Finished the 2nd cut today. BESETMENT is really coming together nicely.
Just watched the first assembled cut from our new editor. Greg James has found a lot of additional footage and really kicked the project up a few notches. I’ll be heading to Portland shortly to begin the next cutting phase. Should have a locked cut soon. Our new composer and sound team are on standby as soon as we do. Planning on a Halloween 2016 release! Stay tuned for updates.
